Special ALOUD at Central Library for Young Literati Members
- May 4, 2009, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
- Downtown Central Library
- 630 W. Fifth Street , Los Angeles
- Join us for a stimulating ALOUD program featuring Reza Aslan in conversation with Amy Wilentz about launching a revolution in the way we understand - and confront - radical Islam. After the program, join both authors and other Young Literati Members for an intimate gathering, including cocktails and hors d oeuvres, at Café Pinot, located in the beautiful courtyard at the Central Library. Reza Aslan is cofounder and creative director of BoomGen Studios, a hub for creative content from and about the Middle East, as well as the Editorial Executive of Mecca.com, an on-line community for Muslim youth. Amy Wilentz is a prolific journalist and prizewinning author whose latest book, I Feel Earthquakes More Often Than They Happen: Coming to California in the Age of Schwarzeneggar, strikes close to home. While ALOUD programs may be attended by all, the post-program cocktails will be limited to current Young Literati Members. Call 213.228.7542 for more information.
